History
I grew up in a village where there is a big disparity between the rich and the poor.
Growing up, I saw how the rich got richer and the poor were always looked down on all because they were not educated.
Poor Filipino communities had the culture of prioritizing getting married, rather than having a good education and stable income for their families. I wanted to break that cycle. I worked hard to get a degree, become successful so I can be an example for my family and the next generations.
As my family grew, and more family members have become educated I started the organization, KEFI in 2012 as my way of helping transform communities—educating the poor and redirecting the mindset of Filipinos on the importance of education
